Project Description
Yenimahalle – Çamlıca City Park: A Pedestrian Bridge

This city park of Çamlıca neighborhood of Yenimahalle district, Ankara, designed for children, youth, adults, elderly people, all neighbors either abled or disabled, is meant to be a recreation and leisure area. Park constitutes basically park square, multi-purpose lawn area, lake, Ankara model, natural and dry landscape areas, ateliers for children and playgrounds, and flower shows. The pedestrian bridge crosses the city all along north-east and south-west axis for both to connect two sides of the neighborhood and to form an urban balcony for Yenimahalle. This pedestrian bridge acting as the ‘spine of the project’ also linking all activity nodes to each other.
